Abstract:
 

Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) is a type of network where a user can access the data while driving the vehicle constantly. At any junction, each vehicle can form a temporary network to send information to nearby vehicles. Vehicles movement can gradually increase the breakage in the communication whenever there is a traffic situation faced by the vehicles. Connection breakage or Link Breakage can make temporary delay in the data transmission and it is also called as unstable route failure between the vehicles. This breakage may happen during the communication in the vehicular network even when the receiver is in offline or busy mode. By storing the route information in a static node permanently, there is a chance for non-stop routing in the network even it faces the link failure. CBAODV routing protocol acts as hotspot between the vehicles to avoid breakage in the connection. Several routing protocols are studied to propose CS-CBAODV routing protocol which is a new reactive based routing which stores the routing information in a node permanently and this concept can be reused in case of failure in the route maintenance. NS2 based simulation is used to prove the effectiveness of the research to reduce connection breakage in VANET by comparing the CS-CBAODV with CBAODV protocol.
